Advocacy on Climate and Food Justice: A Learning Workshop

A two-day workshop on climate and food justice was  organized at Lucknow on 25th and 26th June by Beyond Copenhagen, PAIRVI, CECOEDECON in collaboration with Oxfam India, where more than 30 participants from 8 states participated and discussed development and issues of climate and food justice.  The objective of the workshop was to equip CSOs both on the knowledge and process aspects of climate change advocacy. More than 30 participants from various states participated in the workshop which dwelt on various critical aspects of climate change viz. climate science, impacts, global efforts, national policies for mitigation and adaptation (NAPCC) and State Action Plan/s on climate change (SAPCC), energy, low carbon development pathways, climate resilient agriculture, best practices, knowledge and behavior, role of the CSOs and advocacy strategies.
