Youth Townhalls were organized on 21st and 23rd September to engage the youth on the issues related to climate change in their cities. More than 125 youth and CSOs participated in these two townhalls which discussed climate change, SDGs, status of civic facilities etc. along with relevant officials including Mayors of these two cities. The Townhall in Bikaner was organized by PAIRVI, CECOEDECON and PEN Foundation in collaboration with Shri Ashok Mathur and Lokmat Newspaper; while that in Jaisalmer was organized in collaboration with ShriBhagirath Mal and Maitri Foundation. As an outcome of the Townhall, Mayor of both the cities agreed to work on the Heatwave Plan, in collaboration with PAIRVI/MAUSAM.
