PAIRVI organized a PRE COP 30 Consultation in collaboration and with support from MP Council on Science and Technology (MPCST), Environmental Planning and Coordination Organization and Rajya Niti Aayog on the 28th The co organizers included Narmada Samgra Nyas and Centre for Community Economics and Development Consultants Society (CECOEDECON). The Consultation was organized at Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya, Bhopal. The Consultation was inaugurated by the Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav. Minister of Environment Forest and Climate Change Shri Bhupender Yadav and UNEP India Head Dr. Balakrisna Pisupati also addressed the Consultation online.
The theme of the Consultation was Living the Right Way. While the inaugural session addressed concerns and expectations from COP 30, following session explored strengthening the nexus between sustainability dimensions (climate change, SDGs and environment along with peoples wellbeing) and how to enhance contributions of State in achieving national commitments NDCs and the SDGs. One session also delved into science driven and evidence based policymaking, and crafting a vision for the Madhya Pradesh.
More than 300 representatives from government organizations, Scientists, Policymakers, academic, CSOs and media persons participated in the Consultation. A number of planning meetings were organized online and in person since July 2025 for the preparation of the Consultation.
