Arwal, 12 September 2025. This Consultation was organized in collaboration with Vikas Path, Bikram. The consultation folded in several interlinked sessions, beginning with moving testimonies from survivors, followed by reflections from representatives of PAIRVI, government officials, and community members. The exchanges offered both emotional and analytical insights into the continuing challenge of child labour and the need for joint action. The consultation at Ambedkar Bhawan, Arwal, proved to be a meaningful step towards strengthening dialogue and collaboration among survivors, families, civil society, and government departments. It provided a rare and powerful platform for survivors to speak directly about their struggles, for parents to reflect on their roles, and for officials to share schemes and responsibilities.
The key messages that emerged were clear: child labour is a violation of rights and must be addressed through a combination of legal enforcement education, social protection, and awareness. Education remains the most effective and lasting solution, while social mindset change is equally essential. The event closed with a shared sense of hope and determination to ensure that every child enjoys a life of dignity, learning, and freedom from exploitation.
