राष्ट्रीय विमर्श, जबलपुर, मध्य प्रदेश 25-26 जुलाई 2023 पैरवी बिहार और मध्य प्रदेश में महिला बीड़ी श्रमिकों के मानवाधिकारों की रक्षा और जीवन स्तर में बेहतरी के लिए काम करती रही है। बिहार के जमुई, बांका और समस्तीपुर जिला और मध्य प्रदेश के जबलपुर में करीब 350 परिवारों के साथ उनकी सामाजिक सुरक्षा, आजीविका के वैकल्पिक अवसर, संगठन और सामूहिक नेतृत्व के मुद्दे पर काम कर रही है। इसी क्रम में बिहार और मध्यप्रदेश के साथियों के साथ जबलपुर में बीड़ी कामगारों  के  सामाजिक- आर्थिक विकास के मुद्दे पर  दो दिवसीय विमर्श का  आयोजन किया गया।  इसमे पहला दिन बीड़ी श्रमिकों के से जुड़े मुद्दे जैसे उनके रोजगार की चुनौतियाँ एवं समाधान, संगठन एवं मजदूर यूनियन, स्वास्थ्य पर प्रभाव, वैकल्पिक रोजगार के अवसर एवं चुनौतियाँ और आगे की गतिविधियों पर चर्चा…

PAIRVI organized a consultation on Socio-economic development of Paharia PVTG: From problems to solutions at Training Hall, Lumai Haveli, Dumka, Jharkhand on 10 June 2023. Being a Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group (PVTG), the Paharia community deserves special attention and government assistance for their upliftment. Many government schemes are implemented to improve their socio-economic status and betterment of basic needs like education, health, livelihood, employment, cultural preservation etc. But this community is still far away from the essential requirements and facilities for a dignified life. Their life is based on water, forest, land and animals.   PAIRVI has been, for many years, organizing the national workshops to build perspective of the CSOs on various issues and to create a platform for sharing advocacy strategies, celebrating our successes and reflecting on gaps and challenges. This time PAIRVI has organized the National Workshop  on Seeking, Demanding  and Organizing Transformational Change  at SIDH, Learning Resource Centre, Kempty, Tehri Garhwal, Uttarakhand on 10-12 May 2023. The meeting was organized under Women Beedi workers empowerment programme on 26 March 2023. Around 60 participants, mostly minority women workers of Narghoshi, Manika , and Khalispur villages participated in the meeting. This meeting was organized at Jawahar Jyoti Bal Vikas Kendra, Akhtiyarpur in Samastipur district. Purpose of this meeting was to discuss skill-oriented training to generate livelihood options. Women and girls present in the meeting asked to conduct the training of beauticians while some of them stressed on sewing and embroidery. Based on these skills women can start their own enterprises with small capital in their own villages. Most of these women are a typical conservative minority and they do not prefer to go outside. 12-15 December 2022, Ambedkar Nagar. Dinbandhu Vast was the principal facilitator of the workshop organized by PANI, Ayodhya. The workshop focused on advocacy for young girls on health, nutrition and education. Young activists were imparted training to understand about the basics of advocacy, community led advocacy, importance of information in advocacy and develop clear understanding to prepare the advocacy plan at community level.

The consultation on the Functioning of the State Human Rights Commission and District Human Rights Courts in Rajasthan was organized by PAIRVI and Centre for Dalit Rights, Jaipur at Conference Hall, Institute of Development Studies, Jaipur on 30 November 2022. The consultation starts with the release of the draft report on Functioning of the State Human Rights Commission and District Human Rights Courts in Rajasthan. The report was prepared by CDR and supported by PAIRVI. The consultation was organized by PAIRVI  in association with Lucknow based organization Amaltas on 23rd November 2022 at Gomti Hotel, Lucknow. The consultation started with the release of a draft report of the study on status and rights of transgender in Uttar Pradesh. The draft report, which was shared with the participants for their comments and reflections, contains historical perspective of transgender, socio-economic condition, NALSA Judgement, The Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Bill, 2019, Uttar Pradesh Transgender Welfare Board, National Transgender Portal, government’s social security schemes for transgender and demands of transgender community.
