A follow-up leadership workshop was organized on 28 March 2026 at Koshigoda village in Pakur district of Jharkhand, as a continuation of the two-day Leadership Development Workshop on “Organization, Participation and Empowerment” held on 12–13 March 2026 in Godda. The earlier workshop aimed at strengthening leadership capacities and promoting democratic participation among the Paharia community, a Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group (PVTG), and this follow-up engagement was designed to sustain the momentum and translate learning into action at the grassroots level. The workshop was facilitated by PAIRVI’s local volunteer, Samuel Malto, who led an interactive discussion with local youth and community members. The workshop focused on developing a future action plan for strengthening the Paharia community association, with an emphasis on collective organization, leadership roles, and community representation. Participants also deliberated on the need for initiating skill development training programmes to promote alternative livelihood opportunities, particularly for youth, in order to reduce economic vulnerability and dependence on traditional, limited income sources. The follow-up workshop played a crucial role in reinforcing community ownership, encouraging youth engagement, and building a pathway for sustained collective action. It reflected a growing sense of awareness and aspiration among the participants to organize themselves, enhance their capacities, and work towards long-term socio-economic empowerment.
