Ajay K Jha participated in the Asia Pacific Adaptation Forum during 30th September to 2nd October 2025 organized by ESCAP and UNEP AP. He was invited by the UNEP AP, UN Women, AP and ARROW to speak and moderate the Multistakeholder Dialogue Anchoring Locally led Adaptation in Asia Pacific (30th Sept) and to speak in the Technical Session on Data focusing on “what critical indicators should be included in the GGA Indicators and Monitoring Framework (2nd October).

The OEWG 3.2 meeting was held in Punta Del Este Uruguay during 14th to 20th June. Ajay K Jha participated as the representative of the UNEP farmers Major Group. He also delivered the collective statement on behalf of all major groups and stakeholders present in this consultation. Following the OEWG Meeting, and after three years negotiation, the Intergovernmental Meeting set up the Intergovernmental Science Panel on Chemical Waste and Pollution. This is a welcome development in the environmental multilateralism to deal with chemical, waste and pollution at global and national level.
Nairbo, 8th to 10th May. This strategy meeting was organized by Home Alliance to look at geo engineering (GE) false solutions efforts being pushed in climate change, biodiversity, nature action etc. While the meeting discussed latest efforts by government and GE symapthizers, it also strategize how to prevent these at UNFCCC, UNCBD, and UNEA. Ajay K Jha provided inputs on the history of geo engineering at UNEA and at UNFCCC, and how to galvanize greater mobilization against the GE beyond organizations with specific expertise. From March 20 to 22, 2025, PAIRVI organized a three-day national residential workshop on "Climate Justice and Sustainable Development: Encouraging Community Roles and Actions" at the scenic Jawai Bandh in Pali, Rajasthan. The workshop brought together 28 participants from nine states across India, including community leaders, grassroots activists, young climate advocates, and representatives of civil society organizations. The objective of the workshop was to deepen the understanding of climate science, unpack the socio-economic and political drivers of the climate crisis, and empower participants with the tools and knowledge to engage in community-led climate action. The workshop featured rich and diverse themes, including sessions on the fundamentals of climate science, critical analysis of national and international climate policies, and the myths and misconceptions around false solutions. Bangkok, 25th to 28th February. The APFSD as always organized by ESCAP in collaboration with UNDESA. The theme of the APFSD was “Advancing sustainable, inclusive, science- and evidence-based solutions for the 2030 Agenda and its SDGs for leaving no one behind in Asia and the Pacific.” The APFSD was organized at the United nations Conference centre (UNCC) Bangkok by the ESCAP during 25th to 28th February. 23rd & 24th February, Bangkok. Asia Pacific Peoples Forum on sustainable development (Peoples Forum) was organized on the 23rd and 24th February at Tinidee Trendy Khaosan Hotel in Bangkok. More than 130 representatives from CSOs from all over Asia Pacific participated besides colleagues from the ESCAP and the UNEP (ROAP and HQ at Nairobi). The Peoples Forum was organized by the APRCEM in collaboration and with support from the ESCAP and UNEP.
