A two-day Paralegal Volunteer (PLV) workshop was organized on November 7 and 8, 2025, in Sirmaur, Rewa district, Madhya Pradesh, under the joint auspices of Bharosa Seva Samiti, PAIRVI, Nyaya Foundation, and Bahini Darbar. The primary objective of the workshop was to empower participants with legal knowledge and procedures, enabling them to act as an effective 'bridge' between the marginalized sections of society and the judicial system to ensure access to justice. The first day of the workshop commenced with a collective reading of the Preamble to the Constitution, followed by an in-depth discussion on legal foundations and fundamental rights. The Consultation was organized at Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya, Bhopal. The Consultation was inaugurated by the Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav. Nine community meetings were conducted on 25 May 2025, 15 June 2025, 17 June 2025, 27 June 2025, 30 June 2025, 26 July, 30 August, 13 September and 20 September at Aayarkotha, Darihat, Observation Home Sasaram, Jamuhar, Barawan Kala Rohtasgargh, Dhelha, Dehri and Bikramganj across the three blocks—Dehri, Akodhigola, and Tilouthu—engaging a total of 400 participants. These meetings served as vital spaces for community dialogue, awareness generation, and mobilization around the rights of CICLs and undertrial prisoners. Key messages included the availability of legal aid, the significance of CPCs, and the role of PLVs. Consultation on Strengthening Child Labour Survivors and Their Parents

Arwal, 12 September 2025. This Consultation was organized in collaboration with Vikas Path, Bikram. The consultation folded in several interlinked sessions, beginning with moving testimonies from survivors, followed by reflections from representatives of PAIRVI, government officials, and community members. The exchanges offered both emotional  and analytical insights into the continuing challenge of child labour and the need for joint action. The consultation at Ambedkar Bhawan, Arwal, proved to be a meaningful step towards strengthening dialogue and collaboration among survivors, families, civil society, and government departments. It provided a rare and powerful platform for survivors to speak directly about their struggles, for parents to reflect on their roles, and for officials to share schemes and responsibilities. Three formal community meeting were organized in Bihar during this project period. First meeting was organized  at Ahmdapur Community Library under Sarairanjan Block of Smastipur district, second at Village-Gauda under Chandan Block in Banka District  and third at Bhawandih–Navadih under Block Chakai, in Jamui, on 2 August , 6 September  and  9th September 2025 respectively. The community meeting of women beedi workers held in Bihar successfully initiated dialogue on collective action and livelihood alternatives. It served as a platform for sharing experiences, accessing information on government schemes, and planning for future activities. The decisions taken during the meeting—formation of groups, application for financial support, and preparation for a larger women’s meeting—mark significant steps towards empowerment. Kosigoda and Kunjbona Villages, under Littipara block of Pakur distrcit, Jharkhand 7–8 September 2025. The  community meeting  was organized at Kunjbona Panchayat in Littipara block, attended by participants from different hamlets of the Paharia Primitive Tribe community. The session was facilitated by Samuel Malto, whose effort ensured structured discussions and encouraged open, participatory dialogue among community members. The focus of the meeting was on social, economic, and political empowerment, with an emphasis on enabling the Paharia community to engage more effectively with local governance and development processes. The key outcomes of the day included increased awareness of government welfare schemes and the Gram Sabha, a reaffirmed commitment to form multi-tiered community organizations from village to state levels, and a plan to train Paharia youth in skill development for livelihood enhancement. A community meeting for approximately 55 women bidi workers from Katangi and Badhaiya Mohalla was organized in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, on August 2, 2025, in collaboration with PAIRVI New Delhi and the Nagarik Adhikar Manch. The primary focus was on addressing the bidi workers' challenges, which include very low wages, lack of social security benefits, and the decline of the bidi-making industry, which has been their generational livelihood. The meeting aimed to explore strategies for the economic empowerment of the workers and their families, including accessing social security schemes and providing alternative livelihood through skill training.
